There’s no denying the subjective nature of skincare – what works for one person may not work for the next. This is why it’s always good to see skincare brands create a variety of product lines for different skin types/concerns.
This is what one of my favorite brands, Lavelier, does. I’ve used a number of Lavelier products in the past but, today, I’m going to be reviewing four of my favorites. They all come from the brand’s HydroTherm Collection – a product line that focuses on hydrating and rejuvenating the complexion. Although these products can be purchased as a full set, you can also buy them individually, making it so easy to incorporate these formulas into your skincare routine.
The HydroTherm Intense Masque
Chances are that you’ve used a clay mask before. These masks are commonly favored by those with oily skin due to how clay is such a superstar at absorbing excess sebum. However, some clay masks can be beneficial for all skin types, with Lavelier’s HydroTherm Intense Masque being one of them.
This mask makes use of kaolin clay, which is known for its gentle nature. It doesn’t over-dry the skin, which can be a problem with other types of clay.
You’ll also notice zeolite near the top of the ingredient list. This is a mineral that’s known for how it soothes the feel of the skin. However, it also has unique thermal properties. It releases a gentle heat that leaves the pores feeling relaxed and more elastic. This allows the kaolin clay to pull out even more sebum and impurities from the pores, leaving the skin looking beautifully bright and clear.
Of course, just like every Lavelier product, particularly those in the HydroTherm Collection, this one also boasts several other exemplary ingredients. Vitamins A, C, and E sit at the top of the ingredient list, followed by a cocktail of botanical extracts. From coffee seed and lemon to aloe vera and sweet almond, each one is packed with skin-loving antioxidants.
The HydroTherm Sauna Serum
For me, one of the highlights of the Lavelier mask featured above is its gentle heating effect. Not only does this make the mask more effective but it also feels so luxuriously soothing!
So, as you can imagine, I was absolutely delighted to discover that the HydroTherm Collection contains a product designed specifically to intensify that heat; the HydroTherm Sauna Serum. Once you’ve applied the mask, massage a couple of drops of this serum over the top. It will make the mask feel even warmer, but not uncomfortably so. It’s absolutely heavenly on a cold winter’s day!
Of course, this serum can be used as a standalone too. Thanks to sodium hyaluronate and glycerin, it’s incredibly hydrating. Coral seaweed extract, which is the signature ingredient for the Lavelier brand, helps with this too. These ingredients leave my skin looking plumper and fuller pretty much straight away.
It also boasts 3-0-ethyl ascorbic acid. This is a very stable form of ascorbic acid, aka vitamin C. It enables you to benefit from pure vitamin C without having to worry about the ingredient oxidizing or destabilizing over time.
Peptides are another noteworthy ingredient in this formula. They’re great for reducing the appearance of aging and leaving the skin barrier feeling stronger. They’ll also keep your skin feeling calm and balanced.
Overall, a fantastic serum that all skin types would benefit from!
The HydroTherm Completion Creme
The final topical product in the Lavelier HydroTherm Collection is the HydroTherm Completion Creme. This moisturizer quickly became my go-to after I first used it, so much so that I’m now on my third jar! It’s one that I use morning and night – it works wonders on my combination skin!
What’s so great about it? Firstly, its texture. It feels wonderfully light and silky. It glides onto my skin so easily and sinks in in no time. I have no issues applying makeup over the top either – it provides an amazingly smooth base!
I’m also a big fan of the ingredients that Lavelier has included in this cream. Retinol is one, with this form of vitamin A revered for how it can turn back the visible appearance of aging, countering the look of creases, wrinkles, and dullness. It’s combined with resveratrol in this moisturizer, which is a potent antioxidant. It’s one that has been the focus of many studies because of how effectively it can transform the complexion.
Combine those two superstars with green tea, sodium hyaluronate, sea buckthorn, coconut fruit, chamomile, and coral seaweed and you have yourself a cream that will benefit your skin in so many different ways!
The HydroTherm Collection Derma Roller
As I mentioned earlier, the products in the Lavelier HydroTherm Collection can be purchased individually. However, if you buy the collection as a set, you’ll also receive a 0.25mm derma roller.
If you’ve never used one before, all of the needles on this little tool may seem daunting! However, don’t be afraid as derma rolling doesn’t hurt. Sure, those needles create micro-punctures in your skin but these are very much at surface level. The purpose of them is to trigger your skin’s natural healing process. Use it regularly and you’ll end up with skin that looks firmer, smoother, and less wrinkled.
Final Verdict on the Lavelier HydroTherm Collection
So, is the Lavelier HydroTherm Collection worth buying? Well, as you can tell from my glowing review, my answer to that would be a big yes!
These products contain some of the best ingredients that the industry has to offer, which is why each one is able to provide the results that it promises. Add just one of these formulas to your skincare routine and I can guarantee that it won’t be long before you’re back for more. These products impress pretty much immediately, so much so that, like me, you’ll soon become a lifelong Lavelier fan!
