UPDATE
Hello ladies. I am finally back with some more product updates from OROGOLD. I am sure most of you don’t even remember that in my first post (feels like years since I posted my first experience) I had mentioned that they made me a part of some VIP program which offers discounts as a part of different promotions. Now, here I am happy with my second peel and serum (they just refused to end :), when I get an email from OROGOLD promoting the launch of their brand new (well, not so new anymore) Cleopatra Regimen. The name itself sounds so fancy, right? I mean anything that tries to associate itself with Cleopatra gets my attention. It can either fly high and become your favorite or leave you with a horrible experience. And considering that its OROGOLD that we’re talking about, I was excited. No, let me correct that. I was VERY EXCITED.
Now, it’s been a while since I was here, so bear with my excitement. The Cleopatra Nano Regimen reminds you of all those fancies and exotic luxuries that usually come to mind when you think of Ancient Egypt and the fabled beauty of Queen Cleopatra. So, obviously, I booked my Cleopatra facial right away (they say you should always get the first one at the store, and I learned the hard way to listen to what they have to say -too much product wasted during my first application).
The moment I stepped into the store, I remembered what I have been missing all this while (I was lazy so I ordered refills online). An employee welcomed me into the store, offered refreshments, talked up the Cleopatra Regimen, about what to expect and what the product does for my skin, and then took me into their VIP room. Yay. Lying on that plush recliner, I couldn’t help but feel jealous thinking about all those ancient queens and their countless attendants. Sigh. Well, back to Cleopatra, the regimen, I mean. Perhaps the most incredible experience was seeing those gold sheets being applied on my face. Its almost like putting a candy in front of a little girl who hasn’t had one for a while. You cannot help but squeal with delight. An all-knowing smile told me that I wasn’t the first one to behave like that. Well, its the little things in life, right?!
I won’t bore you with more details, so let’s skip to the end of my experience. There I was, lying on that recliner, enjoying what was possibly the best facial experience I have ever received and thinking about those countless spa days I would enjoy with this amazing product back home. They explained the entire regimen and I was feeling like a pro by the end. OROGOLD says that the Cleopatra Regimen “takes a leaf out of Cleopatra’s book to give you a set of products that bring the same level of pampering and indulgence to your skin” and I couldn’t agree more. With the very first Cleopatra facial, my face became all glowy and radiant. After all, with all that gold disappearing into my skin, I gotta look like a golden goddess, right?!
The Cleopatra Nano Regimen does feels expensive and luxurious, but hey, you gotta love it when everything just comes together. And considering that I feel as special as Cleopatra and my skin has this beaming glow, I am certainly not gonna complain. Ladies, if you’re planning a trip to the spa, or are searching for luxury products for a spa day at home, come here and get this regimen for yourself. It’ll be an experience you will never forget!

The OROGOLD Peeling that I got
Ok, everyone, I’m back! It’s been a bit of time since I wrote this post and I thought you guys would like an update. I have been using the peel and serum for a couple weeks now and I wanted to report back to you all! I have been using the peel regularly… about 2-3 times a week. I like the feeling I get after using it, it makes my skin feel really smooth and soft. Also it really makes me feel like my skin is cleaner than usual. My skin is a little bit oily so it feels nice to have that deep clean feeling. Also, the bottle looks kinda cool so I enjoy seeing it on my bathroom counter. It feels nice to use a high end product, even for a simple thing like a peel. It feels special every time I use it. It’s like a mini pampering experience for a couple minutes, several times a week. As I told you guys last time, I also got a serum. I have been using that one daily! My skin seems a little brighter overall which is great. I mean, who doesn’t want their skin looking a little brighter? I like to use the serum right before applying my makeup. I just smooth it on, give it a few moments, then start my makeup application. I think it gives a nice texture to my skin before applying my makeup, like a smooth canvas. I still sometimes use my primer, especially when I go out, just to ensure my makeup really lasts. But, especially on work days, or when I am just doing my errands I don’t need to add much after using the serum, besides a bit of moisturizer. The less makeup I need to wear, the more time I save, the more time I can spend doing what I want to be doing.. Am I right ladies? It is very liberating to feel confident to go without the foundation 🙂 What I am trying to say, is that I am happy with OROGOLD! I think I might check out some more products. If I do, I will be sure to come back and report to you guys!
Have you heard of OROGOLD Cosmetics? Well I have, let me tell you. I had QUITE an experience at one of their locations recently. OROGOLD is supposed to be a luxury skin care brand. I love me some high end beauty products so it was easy to entice me into the store. I had never heard of this company before, I do not even know if they are legit or whether they’re a rip off. A salesperson was standing at the door handing out free samples. I took one and he convinced me to come in. And then never leave. He told me let me show you something you will love. My instinct was to say no, but he convinced me. He kept using so many fabulous adjectives like fabulous, glowing, radiant, beautiful… using words like that to describe my future skin was just too irresistible for me. It also didn’t hurt that the store is beautiful. It has a kind of modern upscale European vibe… everything is sleek white with gold and shiny black accents. Love it.

Though the sales guy seemed pleasant enough, he was aggressive. He basically plopped me into a chair and started slathering me with different products. Usually before buying anything I try samples of it, just to make sure it doesn’t negatively affect my skin. So I found it to be very interesting that they let you try the products right there in the store. They don’t just let you try them, they will put the products on your skin and let you try them on. While the sales guy was talking rather quickly, explaining different products and what they do, he told me if I was interested in certain collections he would be happy to give me a facial with them. I didn’t have time for that, but doesn’t that sound pleasant? Did I mention that the facial is complimentary?! I was told that there is a special, fancy VIP room in the back. You can even get couples facials!
He was so nice but the problem was he wouldn’t let me politely excuse myself with phrases like “next time” or “my husband is waiting”. I don’t know if I just didn’t grow up being assertive enough or what but he really didn’t get any of my hints. He did ask about my skin and it seemed like the products he told me about were supposed to be specifically targeted to my skin. I wanted to give them a chance but I also had other stuff to do and couldn’t discuss my skin all day. So I thought that committing to making a purchase would wrap up the process more quickly. So he whisks me off to the register.

When the sales guy started ringing me up and told me the price of all the stuff he recommended for me I was a little shocked. Not that I can’t afford a splurge on some good skin care products but I just really wasn’t expecting that number. Finally somehow we compromised with me just buying a couple of products with a discount for joining their VIP program or something. It actually ended up being a much better deal. Apparently, they have a VIP program which offers different discounts depending on what promotions they have running and what you buy. Since good quality, high end products are not cheap, nor do I expect them to be. I feel like the price, while not low, is reasonable if the products work great, look great and feel great.
I took home a serum and a peel. Since I bought them, I decided to put them to use and see if the products live up to all the things the sales guy said about them. I have been using them faithfully and am actually really happy with the results. I am still left a little confused… I’m not really sure what to think about this company.
